IN LOVING MEMORY

On September 7, 2002 our hospital said a final goodbye to one of our resident pets. A German Shepherd named "Boy" came to us as a very young dog approximately 15 years ago. He has saved many pets lives over the years as he so willingly donated blood for any pet in need. He had long since been retired as a blood donor and was content to live out his life in the luxury of our boarding facility. He was a gentle soul and loved visiting with the many pets that came to board with us. He would walk the kennels and visit with the pets’ daily. Our staff will always remember him as a permanent fixture as he laid on his pillow by the washer and dryer. We also remember fondly tripping over him in his older years as he developed a hearing problem and a lameness in his rear legs making it harder for him to hear us coming and harder for him to get up and move whenever we were near. Even in his final months he made an extraordinary effort to greet the staff so he could get his daily dose of petting! "BOY" WE LOVE YOU
